Add a product page, instructions, safety information, nutrition, sustainability, support, or a Digital Product Passport link. Each product can have the resources it needs.
Use a hosted or customer-owned domain
Publish on a GeoQR-hosted resolver or connect a verified customer-owned domain. Customer-owned resolver configurations can also be exported for portability.

What goes into a GS1 QR code?
The QR code contains a product identifier in a web address. The product page it opens is managed separately. Here is an illustrative address using the sample GTIN from GS1's quick-start guide, not a live GeoQR resolver:

- Start with your product's GTIN. GeoQR checks its format and check digit. In the address,
01identifies the GTIN, expressed as 14 digits with leading zeroes where needed. - Choose the resolver domain. Use a GeoQR-hosted address or a verified domain you own. Settle this before printing because the hostname is part of the artwork.
- Choose what a phone scan opens. Set your product information page as the default. Add country destinations when a market needs its own page.
- Connect the product resources. Add URLs for instructions, support, or other supported resource types. GS1-aware software can request those resources separately.
If an instruction document moves, update its resource URL. The printed identifier stays the same. GeoQR does not issue GTINs or verify their ownership; use identifiers assigned to your products.

What happens when someone scans your code
GeoQR receives the request and resolves it using the destinations configured for that code. Standard scans open the selected destination, while GS1-aware requests can return product resources or a Linkset.

The practical details that matter before you create the link and send the final QR artwork to print.
What is a GS1 Digital Link?
A GS1 Digital Link puts a GS1 identifier, such as a GTIN, into a web address. That address can redirect a normal scan and can also expose typed product resources to software that requests them.
Will it work with a normal phone camera?
Yes. The QR code contains a normal HTTPS address, so a standard phone camera can open it. GeoQR then returns the configured default or country-specific destination for an ordinary scan.
When should I choose GS1 Digital Link instead of a standard dynamic QR code?
Choose GS1 Digital Link when the code should identify a product using its GTIN and provide structured product resources. Choose a standard dynamic QR code when you mainly need editable destinations for a campaign, sign, event, or another general-purpose link.
What can change after the code is printed?
You can change destinations, country rules, and product resources after publishing. The identifier and resolver hostname encoded in the QR code do not change unless you create and print a new code.
How can software discover the connected resources?
GS1-aware systems can request a specific resource type or a Linkset containing the resources connected to the product. GeoQR supports human-readable resource lists, Linkset JSON, and JSON-LD responses.
Can we use our own domain?
Yes. You can use a verified customer-owned resolver domain. Because the hostname is stored in the printed QR code, choose the domain before the final print run.
Does GeoQR issue or verify ownership of GTINs?
No. GeoQR validates supported Digital Link syntax and GTIN check digits, but it does not issue identifiers or verify ownership. Your organization remains responsible for using valid identifiers and publishing accurate product information.
Does GeoQR host the product information?
GeoQR manages the Digital Link, routing rules, and connected resource URLs. Your product pages, instructions, safety documents, and other content remain at URLs controlled by your organization.
Does GeoQR create a Digital Product Passport?
GeoQR can connect an existing Digital Product Passport as a typed product resource. It does not create the passport or determine whether a product meets regulatory requirements.
